Career Mapping tool for the Aquaculture industry

Muka Tangata has worked with the aquaculture industry to build on the existing skills frameworks to build a practical tool for the aquaculture industry to see what kinds of skills different roles in the industry require, how your skills might match to different roles, and what skills you might need to develop to progress. A brief guide on how to navigate the tool is below . 

In its 2024 Workforce Survey, Aquaculture NZ found that industry want to have transparent career pathways and to be able to identify opportunities for professional growth. This tool was developed to help provide more insight into the skills, roles and potential pathways in the industry.

We would like to thank all those in the aquaculture industry who have provided their time and expertise into identifying and mapping the skills shown here. This is the first iteration of this tool and there is the potential for it to be improved and developed further.
