Many Ahuwhenua trusts and smaller Māori agribusinesses have aspirations to grow their businesses and create more employment opportunities for whānau. To achieve this, they need support identifying potential workforce needs, the skills required, and how to develop those capabilities over time.
This project provides data-driven tools and guidance to help with that planning. It aims to empower Ahuwhenua trusts and Māori agribusinesses to make informed decisions and take active steps toward growing and developing their workforces.
We are partnering with Scarlatti to provide the technical expertise behind the tool, ensuring it complements each trust’s own information with tailored guidance. The project will also leverage the data capabilities of the Regional Economic Workforce Explorer tool, offering targeted insights into industry trends, workforce needs, and economic contributions at a regional level. This information will support better decision-making and help plan for future demands.
