Ethnicity
The Veterinary Services workforce is not as ethnically diverse as other workforces across Muka Tangata industries, with most of the workforce identifying as European. This number is higher than all other Muka Tangata industries, as well as the average across all industries (national benchmark).
Age
Veterinary Services has the highest percentage of workers aged 25-34 and 35-44 years old amongst all Muka Tangata industries. With over half of the workforce in these two age groups, this is also higher than the average for all industries (national benchmark).
Regional Distribution
A higher percentage of the Veterinary workforce live in regions with large urban centres, including Auckland, Canterbury, and Waikato.
Gender
