All People, Food and Fibre

The nature of work is moving, and the workforce is changing rapidly, with shifts in who is working, the way we work, and the global context that we are operating in.  

Jobs in the food and fibre sector will change, but we do not yet know in what ways, nor what new or different skills may be needed. But we can prepare for how we may adapt. 

We will undertake research, working with industry; learners; and iwi, hapū and whānau Māori, to inform how vocational education and training can evolve to ensure that the food and fibre sector has the skilled workforce required to meet a changing environment.
