The Food and Fibre Centre of Vocational Excellence is undertaking research into residential / group training. We will use this research to explore best practice and suitable models for pre-employment training.

Latest progress and next steps:

Phase two of this research has been well received by industry and agencies around the motu.

Te Pūkenga has been confirmed as the learning delivery partner, with the pilot project starting in early 2024

This confirmation is a result of liaising with Tertiary Education Commission, Te Pūkenga, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment and Ministry for Primary Industries on the revised model, funding options, delivery of pastoral care, and the implications of multiple New Zealand Qualification Framework level delivery.
